Biometric Account Verification – Welcome to MCB Islamic Bank Website

PROCESS FOR BIOMETRIC ACCOUNT VERIFICATION OF PAKISTANIS ABROAD

In compliance with instructions of the State Bank of Pakistan and to facilitate those account-holders who are currently not available in Pakistan, the process of NADRA Verisys (alternate verification) would be performed in lieu of Biometric verification as per the following criteria.

BIOMETRIC VERIFICATION FOR NON-RESIDENT PAKISTANIS

Non-Resident Pakistanis account-holders who are unable to visit the Bank for Biometric verification are required to submit duly signed and attested undertaking form (Download here) along with documentary evidence duly attested by relevant Embassy of Pakistan to the Bank through registered email at [email protected] and the original attested copies should be sent to the respective MIB branch (Find branch address). Required documents:

The Undertaking shall be accompanied with the following supporting documents:

Customer’s NRP status along with proof (i.e. copy of valid passport, visa, exit stamp, resident permit, etc.)
Copy of valid ID document (CNIC/NICOP)
Account number(s) of the customer’s account(s) maintained with the bank as per customer record.
Undertaking to inform the bank of any change in residency status.

BIOMETRIC VERIFICATION FOR RESIDENT PAKISTANIS TEMPORARILY OUTSIDE PAKISTAN

The account holders who are temporarily outside Pakistan for any reason and are unable to visit the Bank for Biometric verification are required to submit duly signed and attested undertaking form (Download here) along with documentary evidence duly attested by relevant Embassy of Pakistan to the Bank through registered email at [email protected] and the original attested copies should be sent to the respective MIB branch (Find branch address). Required documents:

The Undertaking shall be accompanied with the following supporting documents:

Reasonable evidence /proof from the customer regarding his/her absence from the country (i.e. copy of valid passport, visa, exit stamp, resident permit, etc.) and the expected date of return (not more than 6 months).

BIOMETRIC VERIFICATION OF JOINT ACCOUNTS

In case where one account holder is temporarily outside Pakistan the following procedure shall be followed for biometric verification of accounts:

Biometric Verification shall be performed for joint account holder who is resident in Pakistan.
For the other joint account holder (which is a Non-Resident Pakistanis or Resident Pakistani temporarily outside Pakistan) the relevant procedure described in Point 1 and Point 2 shall be followed.
